One of the few pieces of content I created for The Alpha Upgrade of HD Heathers when it came out was a pseudo-newsletter. It was a sort of hi, hello, how are you animation. I wrote the contents of the newsletter, and then read it aloud, capturing the audio. At that point, I created a ‘puppet’ of myself and animated it with Character Animator. It came out good, but I didn’t do much with it. This time around I’ll be making many of those, and they’ll post here.

I created this animated version of a newsletter right after The Alpha Upgrade of HD Heathers was published in 2023. I saw it as a cute shoutout since I had no subscribers at the time.
Origin Story: Milly Fitts Wonkus Report
This is a reading, not from either of the first two Book of Glads volumes, but an origin story from the world. It is a 150-year old book report. It was written in 2226 by a Citizen named Milly Fitts Wonkus, better known as the sixth prime minister in the history of Mega-City Philadelphia, the first Mega-City. She was 20 when she wrote it, and from one of the first graduating classes after education was restored.
The founding mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, were after a more durable system of government, one that could really deal with humanity’s strengths and weaknesses.
Graveyard Orbit Outside Common Operational Orbits
While doing some research on space debris for Volume 3 of The Book of Glads series, I encountered the term ‘Graveyard Orbit.’ This talking head is my expression of shock over the fact that no movie, show or book has ever been developed with that title.
Keith Haring’s City Hall Influence?
I’m a fan of Keith Haring’s art, and I live close to Philadelphia’s City Hall. I discovered a series of friezes at City Hall that reminded me of his work, and I wonder whether he was directly influenced by them. He was from Pennsylvania, and had probably visited City Hall in his youth.
