HD Heathers, the main protagonist in The Alpha Upgrade of HD Heathers and one of the main protagonists in Book of Glads Volume 2, lives at the Benjamin Franklin Hotel on Chestnut Street, in Philadelphia, PA. Today, that building is called The Franklin Residences, but since the Mega-City System fetishizes history and authenticity, in the Book of Glads series, it has reverted back to its original name.
The building has been around long enough that Abraham Lincoln actually gave a speech from there in February, 1861, as he was heading to his inaugural. It was also the place my wife and I stayed during our first four months in Philadelphia. Parenthetically, I still visit 2x yearly for dental appointments. There’s office space in there, too.
HD, since she’s among the most celebrated Citizens of Mega-City Philadelphia, spends a lot of time here cooped up in her apartment.
